The Laura Plantation, LA

When I was in New Orleans in Dec 2013, I took a visit to the Laura Plantation which was about an hour drive outside of town. It was the first time I've set food on an old plantation. For me it was a sad experience to set food on the land and learn more about the slavery and human suffering that happened there.

I took this photo in the basement of the main house. I like the warmth of the light catching the dusty glass bottles.
