Making a record with Yoon Sun Choi

Musicians making a record is one of my all time favorite subjects. When bandleader, vocalist, pianist, composer Yoon Sun Choi asked me to document the making of her record at Brooklyn Recording Studio, I jumped at the opportunity. It was a joy to be witness to the focus, creativity, joy and friendship involved in making this music. I worked in both stills and video to help tell the story of this forthcoming record! As is often the case, we took the opportunity of having the whole band together to make a few band portraits as well, stepping right outside of the studio for some quick lunch break portraits. Many of these images are part of a promo I put together for Yoon which I'll be sharing in the future to help promote the album release!

Yoon's team for this recording consisted of:

Jacob Sacks - piano

Thomas Morgan - bass

Vinnie Sperrazza - drums

Geoff Kraly - producer

Andy Taub - Engineer
